Private company's craft rockets toward moon in latest rush of lunar landing attempts
La nave de una empresa privada se dirige a la Luna en la última oleada de intentos de alunizaje
Intuitive Machines is sending a lander called Athena to the Moon, with the spacecraft expected to land on March 6. The mission is part of a recent surge of attempts by private teams to reach the lunar surface. The company says Athena will try to touch down safely and complete its objectives. Intuitive Machines hopes this mission will avoid the fate of one of its earlier craft, which tipped over at touchdown and failed to operate as planned. The new landing attempt will be watched closely by engineers and others interested in private lunar exploration.
