Korean moon jars shine in Colorado show
Jarrones luna coreanos brillan en una exposición en Colorado
Traditional Korean moon jars and modern takes on the elegant white vases are the focus of a new art exhibit in the Rocky Mountain state of Colorado. The show brings classic moon jars together with contemporary interpretations that play with the simple, rounded form. Visitors can view both historic-style pieces and modern versions that reinterpret the jar’s appearance. The exhibit emphasizes the continuity between an old Korean ceramic tradition and present-day artistic approaches. VOA Correspondent Scott Stearns has the story from Denver.
